Common Questions
The MYOMethod isn’t your typical massage. It’s an integrative system that combines hands-on myofascial release with functional movement assessment, core rebuilding, and corrective exercises. The goal isn’t just relaxation. It’s lasting structural change in how your body moves and feels.
I work with athletes, active adults, prenatal and postpartum people, and anyone dealing with chronic pain, tension, or movement limitations. If your body is holding you back from doing what you love, you’re in the right place.
I work with a wide range of conditions including chronic back, neck, and shoulder pain, hip and knee issues, plantar fasciitis, TMJ syndrome, headaches, autoimmune conditions, pelvic floor issues, and sports injuries. If you’re unsure whether I can help with your specific situation, please reach out. I’m happy to talk it through with you.
It depends on the location and the type of work we’re doing. At my Back Bay location, I offer more traditional manual therapy where you’ll undress to your comfort level and be draped with a sheet throughout the session. At my Arlington location, sessions are clothes on. I recommend comfortable, stretchy layers that allow freedom of movement. If we’re doing cupping or muscle scraping, having easy access to the skin is helpful, so loose layers you can roll up work well.
Some clients feel immediate relief and lightness after their first session. Others experience mild soreness for a day or two similar to how you might feel after a good workout. This is completely normal and a sign your body is responding and integrating the work. Staying hydrated, moving your body, and even enjoying a workout is indicated.
Yes! This is one of my specialties. Pregnancy and postpartum recovery create significant changes in posture, core function, and pelvic floor health. I work with clients at all stages to support their body through that transition safely and effectively.
It depends on your goals and how long you’ve been dealing with the issue. Most clients notice a meaningful difference within 3–6 sessions. I’ll give you an honest assessment after your first visit and we’ll build a plan that makes sense for your body and your life.
Yes. In addition to in-person sessions at my Arlington and Back Bay locations, I offer virtual consultations and online MYOMethod programming for clients who prefer to work from home or aren’t local to the Greater Boston area.
No referral is needed. You can book directly with me. That said, if you’re working with a physician or physical therapist, I’m happy to collaborate with your care team.
You can book directly through the booking button on this site, or reach out through the contact form above and I’ll get back to you within 24–48 hours.
